When looking for a chic, modern setting to host your next special occasion, consider Chef Chai.

Owner and veteran chef Chai Chaowasaree tells Dining Out that his upscale Asian-fusion restaurant boasts an intimate private room that can accommodate up to 26 people. The room offers a lovely ambiance in which to enjoy his Signature Menu ($75 per person), available exclusively to guests of the private room.

Just like the chandeliers that glisten in the private dining space, the stunning multi-course menu sparkles with pupus like Fresh Ahi Tartar in a Miniature Waffle Cone, three courses and a dessert sampler.

DO: The main course for your Signature Menu is Deconstructed Beef Wellington (also available a la carte), sizzling with grilled tenderloin beef, mashed potatoes and puff pastry resting in a mushroom foie gras sauce. What was your inspiration for this creation?

CHAOWASAREE: One of my favorite dishes is beef Wellington, but often when you go to a restaurant with a group of people, the dish only comes out in one temperature. That’s why I chose to prepare a Deconstructed Beef Wellington with the same ingredients and taste, but guests can choose to have their beef cooked to their liking. Some like medium rare, some prefer well done; you can have it however you prefer your meat prepared.

DO: What are some ideal uses for the private room?

CHAOWASAREE: This room is perfect for private holiday parties, graduations, family gatherings, birthday parties, you name it.
