I love going out to eat breakfast food. There’s just something about it that has the ability to completely satisfy my hunger and make my weekends feel complete.

The only problem that arises is sometimes finding a place that is open beyond the early afternoon hours. Luckily, Eggs ‘n Things is open well past normal breakfast hours — all day in fact.

Its third Honolulu location at Ala Moana offers all of its memorable menu items, but without the bustle of Waikiki.

“It’s got a little more of a relaxed feel to it,” says Ala Moana manager Robby Takahashi.

Order the restaurant’s N.Y. Steak and Eggs ($15.95) but kick it up a notch by adding sauteed mushrooms and onions, and request the gluten-free tri-colored medley of potatoes as the starch to accompany the dish ($22.15 total). The dish is accompanied with two eggs cooked to your preference.

Another egg-cellent favorite is the Paniolo Loco Moco ($12.95). A beef patty topped with sauteed mushrooms, onion and bacon is placed atop a mound of rice and covered with the restaurant’s homemade white gravy. Two eggs complete the dish.

And for those who believe dessert can and should be eaten at any hour of the day and not necessarily at the end of a meal, Eggs ‘n Things offers a Deep Fried Banana Split ($7.95, available only at its Ala Moana location). Sure to satisfy any sweet tooth, the dish features two bananas dipped in the restaurant’s own pancake batter and deep fried. It is served with melted chocolate on the side and whipped cream topped with macadamia nut crumbles. For an additional $2, request to have it served a la mode.

Eggs ‘n Things, which soon will be opening its latest location in Guam, also offers alcohol available from 4 p.m., with a 4 to 6 p.m. happy hour.

To keep up to date with the restaurants and any specials they may be offering, “like” them on Facebook (Eggs ‘n Things), find them on Instagram (eggsnthingshi) and follow them on Twitter (eggsnthings). Those interested in its new Guam location may also find them on Instagram (eggsnthingsguam). Eggs ‘n Things also invites its diners to use #eggsnthings when posting photos to social media.
