Ruth’s Chris Steak House’s Waterfront Plaza location has been serving sizzling steaks on 500-degree plates for 34 years.

Originally founded in 1965 by Ruth Fertel in New Orleans, Ruth’s Chris Steak House now has more than 100 locations — including one in Waikiki and one at Honolulu’s Waterfront Plaza (formerly Restaurant Row).

Porterhouse for Two ($144)

Steaks are selected from the top 2% of the country’s beef and broiled in 1,800-degree Fahrenheit ovens — as designed by Fertel.

“Ruth’s legacy will continue,” says director of sales and marketing Hawaii Emi Espinda. “Ruth knew in her heart what was right, and what is right at Ruth’s Chris is steak — from the generous fillets to the last, hot, soul-satisfying bite.”

Barbecued Shrimp appetizer (call for cost)

In celebration of the Waterfront Plaza location’s 34th anniversary, the Barbecued Shrimp appetizer will be served complimentary for guests with the purchase of two entrées. This scrumptious shrimp offer is available April 17-20, and only at the Waterfront Plaza location.

A popular entrée includes the Porterhouse for Two ($144), a hearty cut of fillet and New York strip.

Also tantalizing guests’ taste buds is the Cowboy Rib-eye ($79). A perfectly marbled, 22-ounce bone-in steak bursts with rich beefy flavor.

Fertel’s favorite was the New York Strip ($68), offering a firm and tender texture alongside a full bodied and rich flavor.

“Our Hawaii Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants continue to deliver that warm, genuine hospitality that our founder, Ruth Fertel showed to every guest, every day in her restaurants,” concludes Espinda.
