Chef Chai’s Wiki Wiki Dinner Boxes have been quite the hot ticket item since we last caught up with owner Chai Chaowasaree a couple weeks back.

Those who’ve missed out, however, needn’t fret. During the mandated lockdown, the ready-to-eat meals will now be offered three times a week.

The menu once again dabbles in a vast selection of flavors, textures and colors to satisfy the cravings of everyone in the house.

To start, enjoy a Baby Greens Salad with Japanese cucumbers, tomatoes and carrots, paired with a raspberry guava vinaigrette. Entrées, on the other hand, come aplenty, and include Grilled Fresh Catch with Thai Red Curry Sauce, choi sum, bell pepper and steamed Thai jasmine rice; Pan Roasted Chicken with Green Peppercorn Sauce, mashed potatoes, zucchini and Hamakua mushrooms; Grilled Pork Filet Mignon with Spicy Miso Demi, long beans, Aloun Farms sweet onions, carrots and steamed brown rice; and lastly, Eggplant Tofu with Spicy Garlic Tamarind Sauce and steamed Thai jasmine rice.

To satisfy an already-pleased palate, indulge in a Chocolate Mousse Cake to finish (or begin with — no one’s judging).

As a refresher, the Small Box provides two servings of each item and costs $120. A Double Large Box, meanwhile, has four servings and costs $220.

“We offer this at a reasonable price because we want (our customers) to be able to enjoy different foods,” explains Chaowasaree. “So far, in the three weeks that we’ve done it, we’ve sold out every week.”

Orders are available for pickup or delivery from 4 to 7 p.m. Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and must be made at least 24 hours in advance. (Chaowasaree suggests the earlier the better).
