Japanese Style Garlic Shrimp ($24)

Situated on the second floor of the The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, Miyako Japanese Restaurant offers picturesque views of Waikiki Beach, and serves up awe-inspiring cuisine coupled with sunset views and ocean breezes nightly (the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays). Executive Chef Temma brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the kitchen from Japan, and his talented team crafts an array of delicious and visually appealing menu selections.

Miyako Nigiri Sushi Assortment ($35)

Japanese Style Garlic Shrimp ($24) is one of the popular “locally grown” menu specials as the shrimp is cooked to perfection in a zesty sauce. Seafood aficionados can also look forward to Assorted Sashimi from Hawaii ($40), which features a collection of the freshest fish available including ahi (fish selections change nightly), and a smaller size is available for $24.

Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki ($82)

Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki ($82) is a popular hot pot option at Miyako as diners receive a four-ounce portion of the succulent, marbled beef that is cooked along with vegetables, noodles and tofu in a simmering broth to couple all the distinct flavors. This combination set also includes sashimi, rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles and ice cream, and as a reminder, a minimum of two orders is needed for the hot pot dinner selections.

Assorted Sashimi from Hawaii ($40)

Miyako Nigiri Sushi Assortment ($35) includes an array of made-to-order sushi and also includes soup.

Miyako Japanese Restaurant also offers private cabana seating areas that are popular among kamaaina for the stunning views provided of sunsets and Friday night fireworks in Waikiki.
