Kamaaina and visitors alike know that Hy’s Steak House is synonymous with excellence.
While in the past you had to go to Hy’s Steak House to revel in its impeccable ambience, service and menu, you now have the option of bringing the entire experience right to your front door or venue.
Hy’s Steak House’s parent company GLION launched a complementary catering service that will duplicate the sophistication of its fine-dining experience directly to your family celebration or special occasion.
“Sometimes, not everyone can fit into the restaurant or can’t make a reservation,”
says Jill Becker, Hy’s Steak House/GLION catering director of special events. “You bring that whole experience to your home or special venue.”
In order to ensure the same upscale quality of the restaurant’s menu to your location, Becker notes Hy’s five-star chef Justin Inagaki brings his culinary magic to the local destination of your choice.
“Chef Justin is so creative,” Becker says, pointing out that each catered event can be customized to the customer’s requests. “He’s extremely flexible and has a huge range and variety, so (he can do) anywhere from a cocktail reception to fine dining to a high-end baby luau.”
Becker also notes the same level of service comes with each catered occasion.
“For example, we just did a wedding and we brought our servers and they were dressed in tuxedos and we had the same wine service,” she shares. “So it’s like we can be in someone’s home, but it feels like we brought Hy’s into your home.”
JUST AS YOU PLEASE
Each item on Hy’s Steak House/GLION Catering’s menu reflects the same succulent dishes that are part of everyday offerings at Hy’s Steak House. For instance, the Alii plated lunch catering menu offers entree items like Duroc Applewood Bacon-Wrapped Filet with Black Truffle Demi, Miso Seabass “Misoyaki Style” and Hy’s Signature Kiawe Grilled Lamb Chops with Mango Chutney, which is a generous half-rack of lamb chops that is herb crusted and kiawe grilled, and served with seasonal sauteed vegetables (locally sourced) in garlic butter sauce. Guests can choose one entree.
The plated lunch catering option starting at just $65 per person allows guests to choose a starter and dessert for their meal. Some starter options up for grabs are Alaskan King Crab cakes with Classic Remoulade Sauce and Poached Jumbo Shrimp Salad with Balsamic Reduction & Taro Crisps.
On the dessert side of the menu, diners can indulge in treats like creme brulee, chocolate cake or cheesecake.
