The minute diners enter Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant, they feel as if they are transported to China for an elegant dining occasion. Located on the third floor of Ala Moana Hotel is the restaurant’s vast dining room. Serving both the local community and tourists for more than 30 years, Royal Garden aims to satisfy customers with its shareable platters of noodles, seafood and meats, and the always delicious and mouthwatering dim sum.
According to owner Calvin Wong, guests especially love Fresh Kahuku Shrimp on Bamboo Stick ($18.95). “No other Chinese restaurant in town serves shrimp like this,” he says. Additionally, visitors may take advantage of Royal Garden’s coupon found in Dining Out (page 10) that offers free Crispy Stuffed Tofu with Shrimp Paste ($12.95 regular) with a purchase of $50 or more. Wong reminds readers that only one coupon may be used per group during dinner only. The offer expires March 31.
THE HEAT IS ON
Royal Garden’s owner Calvin Wong invites diners to sink their teeth into something sizzling hot.
