Step up to the takeout counter at Fairwood Drive Inn or take a seat inside the chic Pho 27 Cafe — at this dining venue, the possibilities are endless! Satisfying every food craving, whether local Chinese food or delicious Vietnamese cuisine, the duo of restaurants in Kaimuki Shopping Center has all bases covered.

At Pho 27 Cafe, patrons can find comfort in bowls of delectable broths filled with fresh noodles, vegetables and protein. While the cafe boasts Vietnamese dishes, there still are Chinese influences in each menu item, such as the succulent pig feet in Pig Feet Pho ($12.95) and the black mushrooms in Oxtail Pho ($14.95).

At Fairwood Drive Inn, order at the front and take your food out or sit down in a more casual dining setting. Delight in the eatery’s popular selections such as Ma Po Tofu, Minute Chicken Cake Noodle, Honey Garlic Chicken, Roast Duck and Ginger Chicken on Rice and rotating daily specials. With countless dishes to choose from, you will never go hungry at this spot.

In celebration of the Year of the Fire Rooster, both Fairwood Drive Inn and Pho 27 Cafe would like to highlight Jai ($9.75 a la carte, $9.25 with rice). Diners will be happy to know that this vegetarian classic actually is available year-round, and features glass noodles, an assortment of vegetables, black fungus and more. It is believed to bring overall good health for the entire year. Not only is Jai a Chinese New Year must-eat, but it also is delicious, especially the way Fairwood Drive Inn and Pho 27 Cafe makes it.
