With graduation season right around the corner, family get-togethers soon can be found on nearly every corner. Now is the perfect time to think about what meals the happy graduate and loved ones will enjoy.
If you want to forgo the extra planning, cooking and prep work that comes with a graduation feast, A Catered Experience in Waipahu has everything you need for the perfect pomp-and-circumstance celebration. Customers can order different preset packages, including a Light Menu ($8.95 per person) or Hawaiian Menu ($11.95 per person), each with a 25-person minimum.
Mochiko Chicken (Light Menu, $8.95 per person)
According to general manager Ron Hattori, customers long have appreciated convenience of these packages. “It saves them the trouble of spending time shopping and cooking,” he says.
The Light Menu features a mouthwatering medley of local favorites: Teri Beef, Mochiko Chicken, Breaded Fish with tartar sauce, tossed salad with dressing, fried noodles and steamed white rice all come together for an appetizing festivity like no other. As for the Hawaiian Menu, Kalua Pig, Laulau, Chicken Long Rice, Lomi Salmon, mac salad, steamed white rice and haupia squares serve to satisfy your taste buds.
Fried Noodles (Light Menu)
Customers can call to customize their menus, and if they don’t see something they want, the company will try to accommodate other requests, according to Hattori. Free delivery is offered to locations in Waipahu, Pearl City and Mililani, with a delivery fee for other areas. If needed, A Catered Experience also can staff a function for an additional cost.
Teri Beef (Light Menu)
In addition to menus for graduation season, customers can order packages for other occasions as well, such as Easter next week. A Catered Experience is offering its Easter Turkey Package ($107.95), complete with all the holiday favorites. The package is comprised of a whole roasted 10-12 pound hot turkey, 4 pounds of real mashed potatoes, 4 pounds of poultry gravy, 3 pounds of stuffing, 1 pound of cranberry sauce, 1 dozen dinner rolls and one Napoleon’s Bakery Pumpkin Pie. It feeds approximately eight people, with extra sides available for an additional cost.
Breaded Fish (Light Menu)
For such momentous occasions, from holiday gatherings to celebrating accomplishments, graduates-to-be, families and friends all can rest and eat easy with A Catered Experience’s tasty creations for the entire party. All orders are taken on a first come, first served basis, and it’s recommended that orders be placed at least two weeks in advance.
