Dive into Oceanarium Restaurant, where you can indulge in a seafood paradise — with a view, too, as patrons dine next to a massive, live aquarium. Located on the main floor of Pacific Beach Hotel, the eatery’s aquarium is three stories tall, holds 280,000 gallons of water and is home to hundreds of fish of all sizes.

The magic of Oceanarium only increases as diners are invited to daily buffets of all sorts. “Hawaii people love the buffets, and sometimes tourists are overwhelmed, but they enjoy it too,” says executive chef Mariano Lalica.

Oceanarium is open daily for breakfast from 6 to 10 a.m., for dinner from 4:30 to 10 p.m., and serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call now to reserve a table.

DINE EVERY DAY

All week long, there are a host of diverse dishes to try from themed daily buffets at Oceanarium.

On Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays ($49.95), customers can look forward to All-You-Can-Eat King Crab Legs; Tuesdays’ ($47.95) buffet is filled with Shrimp Tempura, Shrimp Paella and more; Wednesdays ($47.95) highlight items such as Roasted Pork and Sweet Sour Pork; Fridays ($47.95) are for dishes like Cedar Plank Salmon, Barbecue Pork Ribs and Hawaiian Style Mixed Seafood with Baked Clams; and Saturdays ($47.95) boast Half-Shell Oysters, Rockefeller Oysters and Shrimp Tempura, among others.

Along with the buffet entrees mentioned above, Oceanarium also presents many appetizers, daily entrees and a sushi station. Appetizers include oysters and mussels, Cocktail Shrimp and sashimi.
