A Thanksgiving Feast You’ll Gobble Right Up

Well, Dining Out readers, the time has come to turn this dreamy image into reality, and Zippy’s Restaurants is here to help. The iconic destination for local comfort foods is serving up a slew of Thanksgiving offerings catered to your every need.

Whether you’re having an intimate family gathering or a large get-together, there’s a Thanksgiving Meals To Go package that will work for your ohana. The Whole Turkey Package ($93.95) offers 10 to 12 pounds of roasted turkey, 3 pounds of stuffing, 4 pounds of real mashed potatoes, 4 pounds of poultry gravy, 1 pound of cranberry/pineapple relish and 12 sweet dinner rolls. The Half Turkey Package ($48.95) is perfect for smaller dinners, presenting half of a turkey along with half the quantities of the same fixings as the aforementioned Whole Turkey Package.

“The Half Turkey Package is actually a whole turkey cut in half, so you could still enjoy the goodness of turkey jook after the holidays with the bones,” explains Jeanine Mamiya-Kalahiki, marketing manager for Zippy’s Restaurants.

“We cater to those who want to spend more time enjoying themselves with family and friends — through less time in the kitchen — and still come up with a delicious, perfect, full Thanksgiving meal!” adds Mamiya-Kalahiki. “All the fixings are included, so all you do is reheat and it’s ready to eat. We use quality ingredients, from Butterball turkeys to homemade stuffing and poultry gravy.”

When placing your Meals To Go order, satisfy your sweet tooth by adding a Pumpkin or Custard Pie ($8.75 each; limit two per package) to your package, or throw some local flair into the mix with Maki Sushi Rolls ($5 each; limit five rolls per package).

Unlike many pre-order arrangements, Zippy’s puts your convenience first, as the Meals To Go may be picked up not only on Thanksgiving Day, but also the day before, Wednesday, Nov. 25. Zippy’s also will be making it a very festive holiday at its dine-in restaurants and fast food counters from Nov. 24 to 26 with a host of specials (prices may vary at locations) you won’t want to miss.
