Cajun King is the perfect place to get your fresh-seafood fix. Located in Waimalu Shopping Center, the restaurant’s first location opened in June 2013, and it wasn’t long until its second location in Kaneohe debuted in Sept. 2014.

Owners Jay Chen and Tony Siakkhasone-Lai run a smooth operation at Cajun King. Chen is a seafood distributor and handles acquiring the freshest seafood on the island, and brings lots of experience to the table (he is also the owner of Lobster King). His partner, Siakkhasone-Lai, offers his restaurant management expertise and satisfying customer service to the eatery.

According to Siakkhasone-Lai, customers continue to come back for more because at Cajun King, the lobsters are alive and fresh – no frozen stuff here! With the holidays in sight, the restaurant provides lots of space and additional private rooms in the back, which are ideal for holiday parties. For groups of five or more, call and reserve a table in advance.

UNDER THE SEA

Cajun King’s Combo No. 1 truly offers “bang for your buck,” according to Siakkhasone-Lai. For $48, you’ll receive lobster, crawfish, mussels, shrimp and clams. This scrumptious feast includes potatoes, two corn on the cobs, four pieces of sausage and rice. Patrons may season their dishes with flavors such as Cajun style and garlic butter, or black bean sauce (for combos only, add $5). They also can choose their level of spiciness.
