As it continues expanding to keep up with customer demand, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue serves up local favorites — including healthier options — both in the 50th State and around the globe.

The ever-evolving restaurant chain has flourished throughout its nearly 40-year history, and now includes approximately 60 Hawaii franchises, restaurants in multiple states along the West Coast as well as New York and Tennessee, in addition to locations in New Zealand, Japan, China, Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia.

Just in time for the bustling graduation season, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue offers multiple Party Packs designed to take the stress and mess out of one’s family gathering, business function or special event. Party Pack C ($119) feeds 15 to 20 people and includes: a small pan of sweet and sour spareribs, beef curry or beef stew; a small pan of barbecue chicken or garlic chicken; a half-pan of fried shrimp or mahi mahi; a half-pan of chicken katsu or lemon chicken; a medium pan of rice; and a medium pan of macaroni or tossed green salad.

Healthier options have become popular among diners looking to eat better, and L&L Hawaiian Barbecue couples value and great taste in meals that include a scoop of brown rice and a hearty blend of mixed greens. Diners return often for the healthier versions of BBQ Chicken ($6.99) and Garlic Shrimp ($9.10), both of which pack plenty of protein and flavor into each bite.

“Customers have acclimated to our healthier menu options, including the garlic shrimp — it tastes really good, and you get a high-quality meal at a very affordable price,” says Brandon Dela Cruz, director of marketing for L&L Hawaiian Barbecue. “We’re really excited to watch the restaurant continue to grow, both locally and around the world.”

Spicy Chicken Wings ($8.45 regular, $5.95 mini) offers up a new take on a popular pupu item. Customers will enjoy the plentiful plate piled high with perfectly seasoned wings and the L&L standard: two scoops of rice and macaroni salad.

The Iwilei location, which is situated conveniently across from Costco just minutes away from downtown Honolulu and the surrounding industrial area, also offers customer favorites including popular New York Steak ($9.45) and Mochiko Chicken ($8.45, $5.95 mini) plates.

These local-style selections and daily specials available at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue continue to fulfill appetites of diners both locally and around the world.
