Join Zippy’s Ultimate Tailgate Giveaway

With football season in full swing, Hawaii has kicked off the fall season in the most appetizing way. Last week marked the official start to Zippy’s annual Ultimate Tailgate Giveaway promotion, available at all 25 restaurant locations.

Zippy’s Restaurants’ latest giveaway, valid now through Nov. 24, invites patrons to enter for a chance to win weekly prizes, including a tailgate party pack valued at more than $700 with food and drink provided by Kraft, Hawaiian Paradise Coffee, Pepsi, Tabasco and Hinode.

A sports fan’s dream, the party pack comes equipped with everything one might deem necessary for a tailgating party. The goods include meat, rice, soda, coffee, sauce and more in generous amounts.

In addition, a pair of lucky patrons also will receive a grand prize of two round-trip tickets from Honolulu to Las Vegas. A contest the restaurant has been hosting for almost a decade, the getaway trip is Zippy’s way of rewarding customers for their loyal support throughout the years.

In addition to the giveaway, Zippy’s encourages diners to try its current special offers. The eatery’s famous Garlic Miso Chicken ($7.75 fast food, $8.90 restaurant) has garnered much praise for its golden-brown marinated fried chicken served with homemade miso mayonnaise, sesame seeds and green onions.

From now through October, Zippy’s introduces its newest round of salads. Garlic Miso Chicken Salad ($9.75), prepared with ‘Nalo zip greens, pieces of garlic miso chicken, tomato wedges and cucumber medallions, make for a refreshing meal or complement to any entree. For a meatless option, Oriental Tofu Salad ($8.50) is another popular choice, topped with diced tofu, tomatoes, broccoli, sliced uzumaki and green onions splashed with house dressing, and seasoned with furikake and wun tun chips.

Fans of the ever-popular oxtail soup will love Zippy’s Oxtail Style Turkey Neck Soup ($7.50), prepared much like its oxtail counterpart with succulent pieces of turkey neck, choi sum, ginger and rice.

Finally, to end things on a sweet note, Zippy’s latest dessert Strawberry Chocolate Chip Waffle ($8.95) is a sure winner. Comprised of semi-sweet chocolate chip morsels mixed into a crisp Belgian waffle batter and topped with ice cream, whipped cream and fresh strawberries, the dish is an ideal finale to any meal.
