Situated in Market City Shopping Center, Anytime Cafe presents a unique brand of international flavors in which you’ll find everything from Italian pasta and risotto to loco mocos and dim sum, all on the same menu. According to Cindy Wong, who owns the establishment with her husband, Ken, the duo was inspired to offer an eclectic mix of cuisines in order to create a dining experience that diners of all ages can enjoy.

“The idea is family style, so the kids can still order their pizza and pasta, and their parents can order the other things that they like,” says Cindy.

Whether it’s a kid-friendly pizza or a sophisticated seafood dish, the Wong family always goes the extra mile to make each dish absolutely devourable — an effort that has earned the restaurant a loyal base of patrons since it opened three years ago.

“We have many regular customers who come many times a week, and that is what we wanted,” adds Cindy.

One dish the whole family will love is Pork Chop Bun ($3.95), one of the eatery’s new Tea Time menu (available from July 15; 2:30-5:30 p.m. daily) specials. The Macau-style dish features tender pork chop topped with tomato and lettuce in a hoagie bun, which is nice and crispy on the outside and ultra fluffy on the inside. What makes the sandwich take off, though, is Anytime’s special mayonnaise, which is made in house and has a touch of sweetness to it that is utterly delicious.

When it comes to favorites for Mom and Dad, try Trio Shrimp Spaghettini ($15.95). Made with three different kinds of shrimp — Bay, Tiger and Head-on shrimp stuffed with crab-meat — this pasta becomes drool-worthy with its luscious, creamy white truffle sauce. According to Cindy, the exclusive white truffle paste, which is blended with the eatery’s homemade alfredo, is special ordered from Italy, so you’ll be hard-pressed to find it anywhere else. In addition to their enticing aromatic qualities, the white truffles blend amazingly with the creamy blanket of alfredo, setting up the perfect base of flavors for the shrimp.

In addition to Pork Chop Bun and Trio Shrimp Spaghettini, Cindy suggests trying one of Anytime Cafe’s most popular appetizers, Thai Style Pork Cheek ($6.95).

“We special order the pork cheek, otherwise you cannot buy the pork cheek at the market,” she explains. The sweet and smoky marinated pork goes perfectly with its garlic, lemongrass, lemon juice and chili dipping sauce.

At least one family member — OK, maybe everyone — will enjoy slurping up Shrimp Wonton Noodle in Broth ($8.95) as well. This Hong Kong-style dish is made with shrimp and pork wonton, thin noodles and choy sum in a pork-and shrimp-based broth. To ensure an authentic flavor is achieved, noodles and wonton shells with the perfect taste and consistency are imported from Canada.

So regardless of your craving, you can make it a scrumptious family affair at this restaurant, anytime.
