The venue’s rustic interior makes for a perfect date night or family outing, and locals and tourists alike can be seen entering the double doors that face Ala Moana Boulevard.

Dining Out caught up with James Maeda and Roxanne Takaesu at Kobe’s Sushi Bar one evening. Although it was Maeda’s first time, he was impressed by the cordial wait staff and admirable interior.

James Maeda: “When you walk through the door everyone is so friendly, and it has a really nice appearance.”

Roxanne Takaesu: “I like the Shrimp Tempura Roll ($12).”
