Columns What We're Eating At

April 7, 2012

Story By: Dining Out Team |

Dining Out headed down Nimitz Highway to visit the newest location of Bangkok Chef, which has more than 30 entrees on its menu from curry to noodles and salads.

Not only is the menu extensive, but the portions are enough for lunch and then an afternoon snack.

Main course dishes are served with jasmine rice, but you can substitute sticky or brown rice for just 50 cents more.

We caught up with Blaine and Grace Santa Monica and Shaun Castro for lunch. Grace ordered House Delight ($4.50), which comes with a scoop of rich mango ice cream and is served over a bed of warm, coconut-flavored sticky rice. And to top that off? Crushed peanuts.

Blaine Santa Monica: “Spring Rolls ($7.95, six pieces) were good, hot and fresh, and it wasn’t hard, it was crunchy.”

Grace Santa Monica: “I got House Delight ($4.50). There were real mangoes inside. It was good.”

Shaun Castro: “The Panang Curry ($8.45) was delicious.”
