Buffet options for all appetites

McCully Buffet boasts everything from brisket and sausage to hot dogs and a beef-belly bar.

Whether you’re looking for Korean barbecue, Japanese cuisine or local seafood, McCully Buffet is ready with choices for the whole family. Owner Sam Seo says he is “so proud to serve good quality seafood with affordable prices.” At McCully Buffet, some of those ingredients can be cooked right at your table.

Menu items include many types of sushi and sashimi, shrimp, ready-to-grill meats, vegetables, salad, rice and more. The restaurant specializes in the yakiniku cooking style, in which raw meat and vegetables are prepared directly at a guest’s table and dipped in various sauces like ginger and soy.

The eatery also offers a Korean version of yakiniku, where marinated meats and side dishes can be grilled at the table. Adults can enjoy the lunch buffet for $27.95 and the dinner buffet for $37.95. Dinner and lunch are available for children 10 years and younger for $29.95 and $18.95, respectively.

Seo, a longtime buyer at the Honolulu Fish Auction, says McCully Buffet receives fresh tuna every morning for “serving high-quality ahi for sashimi, sushi and poke.” A 10% discount is offered to senior citizens and military personnel Monday through Thursday, except on holidays.

McCully Buffet is also taking reservations for graduation and Mother’s Day celebrations.

“We have about 150 people capacity dining areas,” Seo says.

He intends to keep the prices the same and serve good-quality food for any occasion.
