The typical American spends 128 minutes cooking their Thanksgiving feast, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. That’s a little over two hours of time that could be better spent with loved ones, rather than being confined to the kitchen.
For those looking to streamline Thanksgiving Day, Zippy’s offers party platters and Thanksgiving packages.
Whether you’re contributing to a potluck or simply need some extra fixings to complete an extravagant spread, the party platters, encompassing a range of entrées and sides, are the perfect addition to any dinner table.
Here, we spoke with marketing director Jeanine Mamiya Kalahiki, who provided her expertise on Zippy’s holiday offerings.

DO: Which dishes do you suggest for the holidays?
JMK: Zippy’s party platters are great for special occasions. We ask that you order at least one hour in advance. Options include the Local Favorites Platter ($46.65) featuring teriyaki beef, hoki, chicken katsu, hot dog and Portuguese sausage; Chicken Katsu Platter ($45.60); Korean Chicken Platter ($49.25); Barrel Chicken ($29.50, nine pieces; $45.75, 15 pieces; $58.75, 21 pieces); Barrel Chili ($49.35); Fried Noodle Platter ($38.95); Zip Meal Macaroni Salad ($12.50); Barrel Rice ($14.95, 6 pounds), Zip Meal Portuguese Bean Soup ($15.15) and Holiday Sushi Platter ($58.50) featuring an assortment of maki and inari sushi (please order at least three days in advance).
DO: What’s the best way to place an order?
JMK: You can place your order online at zippys.com, or through the Zippy’s app that you can download. If you order through the app, you can get Zipcoins through Zippy’s Zipster Rewards program.
DO: There is still time to order a Thanksgiving Package. What’s included?
JMK: Yes, there is still time to order online and save! Nov. 12 is the last day to save up to $20 if you order online. After that, you would need to call 808- 973-0880 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays-Fridays or go to the store to order at the regular price.
We want to stress the importance of ordering online by Nov. 12 to save up to $20 because after that the Turkey packages will be at regular price.
We already sold out of Whole Turkey only, but you can still get Whole Turkey Packages and Half Turkey Packages. Both the Whole and Half Turkey packages include real mashed potatoes, stuffing, poultry gravy, cranberry pineapple relish, and King’s Hawaiian dinner rolls. Hurry before those sell out, too!
