The freshest fish, exceptional service and an intimate atmosphere have lured both locals and visitors to dine at Honolulu’s hottest new sushi establishment — Sushi Aki. “Since our grand opening four months ago, we’ve welcomed many guests, many of whom have expressed their love for the restaurant and have returned several times. It’s become quite a popular spot,” says Julia Midorikawa, server and marketing manager for SushiAki.

New seasonal dishes include Chawanmushi ($9), Tomato Soup (contact for price) and Stuffed Squid (contact for price)

The restaurant’s 19-Piece Course ($135) and 21-Piece Premium Course ($200) will feature new items for September, including a new one-piece item, soup and dessert. These omakase courses showcase the chef’s exclusive items as well as some of the eatery’s most popular a la carte offerings.

Seasonal September specials — imported directly from Japan — are kanpachi, kurodai and ainame. These fresh fish are presented in the courses and are also available on the a la carte menu.
