Kalbi Jjim ($23.95)

Find a selection of authentic Korean dishes and a wide array of sushi and fresh sashimi at the new addition to Kapahulu Avenue, Honu’s Kalbi & Sushi.

If you’re looking for a quick snack, the restaurant has a convenient grab-and-go area filled with fresh sushi and side dishes. You can also enjoy your food at a table inside or on the outdoor lanai with ample seating.

Naengmyeon ($14.95)

In celebration of the restaurant’s soft opening, customers can get 10% off on their orders through July. Additionally, if you pay with cash, there is an additional 3% discount.

Just in time for summer, owner Sam Seo offers bowls of naengmyeon ($14.95), which is a refreshing cold buckwheat noodle dish, served in an icy cold broth and topped with spicy gochujang sauce. The spice can also be taken off, if preferred.

Sashimi Trio ($25.95)

One of Seo’s favorites is the Kalbi Jjim ($23.95), which offers a generous portion of Kalbi meat braised in a shoyu-based broth and comes with rice and side dishes. For a taste of Korean street food, try the Tteokbokki ($15.95), which are chewy mochi rice cakes in a spicy gochujang sauce. For seafood lovers, there is the Sashimi Trio ($25.95) as well as the Ahi, Salmon ($16.95) comprising of four pieces of ahi and four pieces of salmon.
