Diners seeking a delicious meal in bustling downtown Honolulu continue to discover the incredible taste and value at Carval Café.
The locally owned restaurant operated by CEO Carl Hamada and president Valerie Hamada has developed a stellar reputation over the years for serving fresh fish and quality salads, soups and entrées daily.
At its convenient location along Waterfront Plaza’s iconic Restaurant Row, Carval Café is open daily for breakfast (8:30-10:30 a.m.) and lunch (11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.). Guests can also look forward to fresh baked goods from Chocolate+Vanilla Bakery amid a casual dining environment — validated parking is available, too!
Carval Cobb Salad ($12.60) features crispy romaine lettuce topped with chicken, mushrooms, bacon, tomatoes, avocado and hard-boiled eggs, and is topped with crumbled blue cheese and served with the restaurant’s buttermilk ranch dressing.
Guests rave about Carval Café’s hearty plate lunches, including Slow Braised Short Ribs with Spicy Garlic Sauce ($15.75 full, $13.75 mini). The succulent ribs are marinated in shoyu and topped with the restaurant’s iconic spicy fried garlic sauce and green onions.
Fresh Ahi Club Sandwich ($17) is served on a sweet bun and is crafted with bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato along with a garlic masago mayo and kabayaki glaze.
