The holidays are almost here, and one of the best places to stop for unique made-in-Hawaii gifts is Hawaiian Chip Company. The Kalihi shop and online store offer an array of items treasured by loved ones of all ages, including its famous fresh taro and sweet potato chips.
Debuting Nov. 15 is the Menehune Mac Trio Box ($26), an assortment of the three most popular chocolate flavors: Milk Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Pineapple Snow Macadamia Nut and Dark Chocolate Macadamia. A total of 18 individually wrapped pieces nestled in a new sunrise yellow box with a hand-tied bow and keepsake menehune “aloha” card make the perfect present that can be easily picked up or shipped via hawaiianchipcompany.com, weather permitting.
All chocolates are filled with 100% Hawaiian macadamia nuts and have been handmade since 1939. In fact, Menehune Mac is the oldest existing manufacturer of macadamia nut candies in Hawaii and remains locally owned.
Stopping by the Hawaiian Chip Company storefront offers the opportunity to create a custom chocolate box with additional Menehune Mac flavors: Dark Chocolate Arare, Orange Cream Macadamia Nut and Strawberry Cream Macadamia Nut.
Need something to safely transport the chocolates? Hawaiian Chip Company collaborated with Eden in Love to customize a Zippered Cooler Bag ($45) and Large Ultimate Tote ($45). Whether going to the beach or stowing souvenirs the bags adorned with sweet potatoes and taro are an adorable way to carry all your gifts.
