Hawaii’s favorite family-friendly restaurant — Zippy’s — now has a free rewards program with an enticing offer for new members: a free Zip Pac!

The Zip Pac ($13.55) is the most famous item on the menu, combining local diners’ favorite comfort foods: fried chicken, breaded hoki fish, teri beef, SPAM, and rice topped with furikake and takuan.

The local version of the Okinawan dish, rafute, is a braised pork belly dish that is saucy, sweet and savory.

Becoming a Zipster and earning the free Zip Pac can be done in three easy steps. First, download the Zippy’s app in the Apple App or Google Play stores. Second, join the Zipster Rewards program via the app, which is free and available to all Zippy’s customers ages 13 and older. And third, make a Zippy’s purchase as a Zipster member, either online at zippys.com, via the Zippy’s app or in-store.

During the month of August, try the Banana Chantilly Cake ($17.15), a sweet treat filled with banana whipped cream, frosted with Chantilly icing, and finished with almonds and banana chips. Or, opt for the Apple Fritter Donut ($2.10), a perfected dough and apple mixture topped with a tantalizing glaze. The Pianomo Roll ($2.75), meanwhile, is a Filipino-inspired roll cake that’s a simple but oh-so-fluffy pastry filled with butter.

After becoming a Zipster and making a purchase, a free Zip Pac will appear in guests’ Zipster Rewards account within 24 hours — with the offer ending Sept. 30. Free Zip Pacs can be ordered online or in-store, for takeout or dine-in.

The Zip Pac is only the start of the rewards for Zipsters, as members will earn 10 Zipcoins for every dollar spent at Zippy’s.
