SWELL Pool & Bar is quickly gaining popularity as the destination restaurant and bar offers delicious food and beverage selections coupled with incredible views overlooking Waikiki Beach.

Located at the spectacular Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, SWELL is the ideal setting as Highgate Hawaii hosts “Amplified: A Loud Act of Charity” in support of the High-gate Charitable Foundation (HCF) on Saturday, Aug. 20. Las Vegas party band The Pilots will perform rock favorites, while attendees experience a live auction, food, drinks and ample fun.

Ahi Poke Nachos ($15)

Net proceeds will support HCF, benefiting local charities Aga Khan Foundation, Save the Children and other organizations addressing poverty, education and health care. HCF has raised over $3 million for the Aga Kahn Foundation and Save the Children and invested $500,000 in Highgate’s Associate Relief Fund during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guests can purchase general admission tickets for $129, which include the concert and participation in the highly anticipated live auction. The top auction item is valued at $12,000 and includes a three-night stay at The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa with 320,000 HawaiianMiles, daily breakfast, a 50-minute massage and two Las Vegas experience events.

Kalua Pork Tacos ($15)

Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach executive chef Alexandre Petard will be serving up delicious bites for the special event. A $15 taco bar will feature a choice of tofu sofrito, house-smoked kalua pork and chipotle Molokai beef short ribs with ample classic taco accompaniments.

Attendees can also enjoy a $15 ahi nacho poke bar with bigeye tuna poke, wonton chips, avocado, cucumber, furikake and dynamite and kabayaki sauce. The event will also include complimentary cocktails such as Coco Loco, a refreshing cocktail of tequila, fresh coconut water and white crème de cacao. The Alohilani Mai Tai also makes a splash as it features light and dark rum, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, amaretto, pineapple juice, guava and fresh lime.

The alluring SWELL space boasts a saltwater infinity pool with impressive views of the ocean and the city, cabanas perched atop reflecting pools and tiered day beds. SWELL transforms into an evening hot spot with fire pits, live music and the captivating “Light Monument,” a large-scale short-film series projecting local art across more than 100 feet.

Local residents looking to experience a staycation at Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach can book the ultimate kamaaina experience, “LOVE Hawaii.” This incredible value includes early check in and late check out, waived resort amenity fees and complimentary self-parking.
