Expect exceptional presentation and flavor when dining on dishes that are part of the July 27 Wine Ovation Dinner.

By drawing inspiration from different dishes from around the world, and incorporating local flavors and produce, the team at Stage Restaurant and Amuse Wine Bar creates a “world-inspired” experience that is complemented with plenty of “local comfort.”

Situated conveniently in the Honolulu Design Center on Kapiolani Boulevard, Stage Restaurant and Amuse Wine Bar offer the latest installment of the Wine Ovation Dinner series on the last Tuesday of each month. Stage Restaurant and Amuse Wine Bar have partnered with Sky Cameron of Chambers and Chambers Wine Merchants to develop a unique menu, which features influences from rotating members of the culinary team, whose dishes are then paired with wine selections by Cameron.

For the dinner event slated for Tuesday, July 27, Chef Ron de Guzman starts the menu off with an amuse-bouche of Spam, egg and rice with truffle kabayaki. Up next is a three-course experience starting with island ahi poke in a guava smoked soy and avocado yuzu purée, followed by chicken katsu with furikake wasabi potato salad and shoyu-mustard butter, and a third course of surf-and-turf loco moco featuring braised beef shortrib and a truffle-crab risotto. For dessert, indulge in Kula lavender tres leches cake with Hawaiian honey crunch, blueberry compote and blueberry Meyer lemon sherbet.

“It’s a fun experience where you get to try different cuisines and dishes from around the world, as well as twists on local favorites,” says Stage Restaurant and Amuse Wine Bar marketing and event coordinator Alice Ancarani. “This month’s theme is ‘Hawaii Regional: Local Fa vorites.’ During the evening, you’re guided through wine pairings by Sky, so it’s also a great opportunity for any wine lover to learn about new wines and pairings!”

The special dinner is available for $65 per person, with wine pairings offered for $35.
