Key Lime Pie ($9)

Celebrate your independence from ordinary food by biting into the mouthwatering, exciting dishes at Murphy’s Bar & Grill.

Located on Merchant Street in Honolulu’s Chinatown, the eatery helmed by longtime owner Don Murphy features an array of housemade items that are very popular with patrons.

Among them are the traditional Irish-themed Corned Beef and Cabbage ($20). It’s a sure bet that customers will be satisfied with this classic that features tender meat and tasty cabbage, along with green beans and mashed potatoes on the side.

Steak Salad ($26)

However, there are plenty of other meaty dishes to sink your teeth into as well.

For example, try the Gaelic Steak ($26), which is often eaten in Europe and comes from an Irish chef’s recipe. The hearty meal revolves around New York steak slathered in a flavorful green peppercorn sauce. Green beans and a generous portion of mashed potatoes also accompany the meal.

For those who favor something a bit on the lighter side, there’s the refreshing Steak Salad ($26), featuring sliced marinated beef with fresh local greens, strawberries, walnuts and blueberries.

An acclaimed choice at the restaurant is its signature Blarney Burger ($15). It arrives with a topping of melted imported white cheddar and Guinness cheese that’s sure to please.

Is your palate craving poultry instead? In that case, check out Murphy’s Open Faced Turkey Sandwich ($17.50).

Don’t forget an array of indulgently delicious dessert options expertly made by Murphy’s wife, Marion, such as the Key Lime Pie ($9).
