Expect tons of variety when shopping at Hawaiian Chip Company.

When it comes to primal snacking satisfaction, there’s nothing quite as bliss-inducing as eagerly biting into a crunchy, zesty chip accompanied by that awe-inspiring crackling sound.

Luckily, Hawaiian Chip Company has all the bases covered with its finely crafted items freshly made right here in Hawaii. The man behind the plan at the business is general manager and owner Jimmy Chan, who shares that he’s excited to highlight his Kettle-Style Potato Chips.

“I’ve made some adjustments this year to yield a crispier chip with more seasoning,” Chan explains.

Among the expertly flavored varieties of Kettle-Style Potato Chips are Maui Onion, Hawaii BBQ and Original.

Another aspect of the enterprise is a local personnel pickup who will enhance the company, Chan says.

“I hired a production manager from Love’s to help me manage daily operations and the growth of the potato chip line,” Chan declares.

Hawaiian Chip Company production manager David Coffin and sales supervisor Kamie Oda showcase some of the biz’s offerings.

Besides potatoes, there are a plethora of other tasty products in the company’s repertoire. For example, customers can get a blend of two different flavors with the Taro & Sweet Potato Chip Mix. Thin slices of taro, purple sweet potato and golden sweet potato are crisply cooked and seasoned delicately. Meanwhile, the business offers some top-notch sauces and dressings. They include Kilauea Fire Super Spicy Hot Sauce, Papaya Seed Salad Dressing and much more. Meanwhile, don’t forget to check out the Party Mixes, such as Taro Chip & Sweet Party Mix which creates a truly awesome sensation when you pop it into your eagerly waiting mouth.

Hawaiian Chip Company’s great items are the brainchild of Chan, who shares that everything is created from scratch and utilizes the finest local ingredients. He started the company in 2000, beginning with selling sweet potato chips in bags at the old Kam Swap Meet. He later opened the company’s Kalihi retail site in 2012.
