Corned Beef and Cabbage ($18.50)

Murphy’s Bar & Grill is known for its hearty comfort food — and sizable portions — which makes it the perfect place to pick up some grub for the dad or recent grad in your life.

Expect specials like pot roast, BBQ ribs, roasted half chicken and smoked brisket tacos — as well as Murphy’s famous Sunday pot roast — as well as the regular menu.

Blueberry Pie A La Mode ($8, prices and availability vary on Fridays)

“Corned Beef and Cabbage ($18.50) is really popular on Father’s Day for some reason,” says owner Don Murphy.

And, dads who come in with a picture of their kids in their wallet will get a complimentary beverage.

With all the changes COVID-19 brought to the state and the rest of the world, Murphy’s persevered, and did a lot of good in the process, donating hundreds of meals to kupuna and first responders.

Steak Salad ($23.50)

Now, with restaurants reopening, Murphy is excited to welcome diners back to the corner of Merchant and Nuuanu for dine-in service.

“I wish everyone good health,” he adds. “Be safe and support all our local businesses, especially the small guys.

“And to the graduates, you’re the future! Congratulations.”
