A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: “ON THE SIDE” ITEMS ($1.99-$3.49)
Oahu’s “Second City,” Kapolei, gains another location of one of Hawaii’s favorite convenience stores, 7-Eleven Hawaii. Called the Leihano Store, it is 7-Eleven Hawaii’s second location in the growing town — but 66th store statewide — which opened its doors just two days ago on Friday, Aug. 16.
In addition to all the charming goodies consumers can find at all 7-Eleven Hawaii locations, the Leihano Store will introduce a new hot beverage setup up which will include nitro brew, espresso-based beverages and a bean-to-cup program.
There’s more to be hyped up about at Oahu 7-Eleven Hawaii shops, which is debuting Korean-inspired sides to its On the Side program. The new products complement the convenience store’s already wide range of Asian inspired dishes and small meals. More items will also be available the week of Aug. 26 including “Plate Lunch” Mac Salad and Kim Chee Dip.
For both neighbor island and Oahu stores, customers can enjoy 7-Eleven Hawaii’s new Japanese-inspired side dishes that hit shelves on Aug. 6.
“The On the Side menu was developed to give our customers more options to complete their meals or as a snack since many opt to have small meals throughout the day,” concludes category manager Annika Streng. “Some of these items can be served at pau hana gatherings as well.”
Whether poking in to its latest Kapolei location or your usual, go-to store, be sure to make an extra stop-in to 7-Eleven Hawaii and try out the exciting new and/or classic flavors.
Seasoned Ika ($3.29, 6-ounce), top left, clockwise, Spicy Takuan ($2.09, 6-ounce) Dried Radish ($2.49, 6-ounce), Kimchi ($1.99, 6-ounce), and Boiled Peanuts ($1.99), center, are available at 7-Eleven Hawaii Oahu locations only.
Spicy Ocean Salad ($2.99 Oahu, $3.39 neighbor island; 3.2-ounce), left, Lotus Root & Hijiki ($3.29 Oahu, $3.49 neighbor island; 3.2-ounce), and Calamari ($3.29 Oahu, $3.49 neighbor island; 3-ounce)
