Pomaikai Ballrooms is preparing an entertaining and appetizing Administrative Professionals Day celebration — the perfect opportunity to recognize the true “Most Valuable Players” of offices and businesses, and the ideal setting to honor these crucial staff members as a bounty of delicious offerings, sweet melodies and plenty of laughs await.
Located conveniently on the second floor of Dole Cannery in Iwilei — a short elevator ride away from ample covered parking — Pomaikai Ballrooms offers elegance and style along with a warm, inviting atmosphere without the stress of fighting traffic into and out of Waikiki.

On Wednesday, April 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Pomaikai Ballrooms will host its highly anticipated Administrative Professionals Day luncheon for $45 per person (price includes service charge and tax, $6 validated parking available, all sales final). The special event will be hosted by “Da Kolohe Krew” with Shannon Scott and Mele Apana from Hawaiian 105 KINE and includes music from award-winning group Maunalua, and comedy from Da Braddahs as well as Braddah Bronson. The menu will feature local flavors and Pacific Rim cuisine crafted by executive chef Freddie Billena and his skilled culinary team.
Reservations can be made by calling 369-8600, and the last day to hold and pay for seats at this popular event is Monday, April 22. Guests may pay with cash, credit card (American Express, MasterCard and Visa accepted) as well as by check (make payable to Pomaikai Ballrooms).
The alluring buffet will feature enticing entree choices including Teriyaki Chicken with ginger soy and green onions, Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura, and Pork Medallions with pearl onions and mushrooms. Guests can also enjoy Roasted Eggplant & Chicken Soup, a salad bar featuring macaroni potato salad, mixed greens with a selection of dressings, sliced fresh seasonal fruit and namasu.
For dessert, the buffet includes the Pastry Chef’s selection of savory desserts, including the ever-popular Warm Vanilla-Raisin Bread Pudding and additional favorites along with an array of refreshing beverage choices.
