Before the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots kick off what is expected to be an exciting Super Bowl today, make plans to enjoy the game and ono food and beverage options at one of Big City Diner’s six convenient locations.
The Miller Lite Party for the “Super Big Game” will feature a Las Vegas trip giveaway presented by Vacations Hawaii at each location (enter at any Big City Diner, must be 21 years and older to win). A Miller Lite Grill ($300 value) will be awarded to a lucky patron at all six locations as well. Additionally, two $200 Oahu Party Bus gift certificates will be given away at each restaurant. The party starts at 1 p.m. and Miller Lite on draft will be specially priced at just $4, and special pupu platters will be available — make reservations now as this popular event will sell out.
Big City Diner’s Famous Guava BBQ Baby Back Ribs ($25.99 “Big Slab,” $20.99 “Not So Big” Slab) is a super meal to bite into during the game. President and owner Lane Muraoka also suggests that diners order the luscious ribs for their parties and other special events as a Full Rack, which is priced at $84.99. The full rack equates to four “Big Slab” orders and provides extraordinary savings and value (a discount of nearly $20). Customers are encouraged to visit bigcitydinerhawaii.com or call the catering department at 487-8588 for details and to place an order.
When it comes to cooking, it’s all about the sauce. Individual bottles are sold for $7 apiece, while buying in bulk ($12 for two or $20 for four) pays off.
Whether dining in or getting food to go, diners can delve into a trio of new combos built with hand-cut, USDA Choice New York Steak. Steak & Shrimp Combo ($21.99) pairs New York Steak with two roasted garlic shrimp skewers, while Steak & Salmon Combo ($23.99) is another surf-n-turf option with delicious pan-seared salmon. For the ultimate in tasty pairings, try Steak & Rib Combo ($26.99) as the grilled New

Guests may request for garlic mashed potatoes (additional $2.29) instead of rice, and add a cup of soup or a small green salad for just $3.49.
To start the day off right, order up Roasted Macadamia Nut Pancakes with Haupia Creme Sauce ($10.49 “Big Stack,” $9.49 “Not-So-Big” Stack). The old-fashioned pancakes are topped with roasted Mauna Loa macadamia nuts and a decadent Haupia Creme Sauce.
Citrus-Grilled Salmon Salad ($14.49 “Big Salad,” $11.49 “Not-So-Big Salad”) is a refreshing yet filling choice, and is available for lunch and dinner. This popular salad features perfectly cooked salmon served warm atop organic mesclun greens, veggies and Roma tomatoes, and it comes with a spicy ponzu vinaigrette.
