Peking Duck ($38 whole/$20 half) is a popular item to share while dining family-style as the duck is cooked until crispy, and the meat pairs perfectly with the accompanying steamed buns and plum sauce.
Seafood with Vegetables in Taro Basket ($22.95 small/$38.95 large) is another favorite for parties as the large basket is crafted for 10 people, and the small version is ideal for groups of four-to-five.
The alluring dish is built to resemble a bird’s nest from taro strips that are deep-fried until golden brown and the resulting bowl is filled with delicious shrimp, calamari, scallops and fish fillet as well as mixed vegetables.
More than 50 varieties of dim sum are served daily at The Mandalay, and each dim sum choice is made from scratch. The Mandalay serves dim sum from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and options range from $2.95 for smaller items to $5.95 for larger, specialty choices.
