Seafood Continental ($16.25)

Happy Easter! Hop into Wailana Coffee House for its Easter Sunday Special, featuring holiday dishes not found on its everyday menu.

On the Easter menu, a Wailana tradition for more than 25 years, are Roast Prime Rib of Beef ($19.25), Seafood Continental ($16.25) and Roast Turkey with Smoked Ham ($15.95).

Described as wonderfully tender and tasty, the Roast Prime Rib of Beef is slowly roasted to perfection until moist and tender, and served with au jus and zesty horseradish cream.

The Seafood Continental consists of a trio of shrimp, scallops and mahi mahi, sauteed and gently simmered in a creamy supreme sauce, then finished with a splash of sherry.

Meanwhile, the classic Roast Turkey with Smoked Ham gets an island twist, as it is served on macadamia nut stuffing, spooned with old fashioned giblet gravy, and topped with a grilled pineapple ring filled with cranberry sauce.

All three of these savory dishes are served as complete dinners, and come with an all-you-can-eat salad bar, corn on the cob, coconut cake, and your choice of baked or mashed potato, french fries or steamed rice; as well as coffee, tea or soft drink.

The Easter menu also offers a breakfast special, Eggs Benedict Royal ($14), made with toasted English muffin halves topped with smoked ham, turkey breast and poached eggs smothered with Hollandaise sauce, and served with hash browns, glazed peaches, and coffee or tea.

Wailana’s delicious homemade Portuguese Bean Soup also will be served on Easter Sunday. All dishes are available today (April 1) from 11 a.m. to midnight. Add to the celebration a glass of Burgundy, Rose or Chablis for just $5.

Located on Ala Moana Boulevard across from Hilton Hawaiian Village, Wailana Coffee House is known for its diverse menu with moderate prices and convenient hours — open 24 hours a day, six days a week.

Generations of kamaaina and visitors have come to love Wailana’s menu of local favorites from Saimin and Broasted Chicken to New York Steak, as well asits 24-hour breakfast menu featuring popular items, such as Eggs Benedict, Strawberry Belgium Waffles, Steak and Eggs, and all-you-can-eat pancakes with two eggs and bacon.

Additionally, dinner (served from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) includes Wailana’s all-you-can-eat salad bar with original house dressings.

Currently, the restaurant also is running a Garlic Bread Special that has been well-received among customers and growing in popularity, where every lunch or dinner entree comes with a free order of buttery garlic bread.
