Orange Flavor Chicken ($9.50)

At Asian Mix, located beneath Safeway on South Beretania Street, customers are sure to find an assortment of both Asian and local flavors throughout the restaurant’s plate lunches, ramen, soup bowls and a la carte items.

Guests are welcomed to mix and match with the mix-plate option in order to try the many different dishes offered.

First, pick a side; then, decide on one to three entrees of your choosing from a select array of available dishes.

Try the popular Orange Flavor Chicken ($9.50), for instance, which features deep-fried crunchy chicken glazed in a sweet, tangy sauce. General manager Daniel Leung shares that Asian Mix focuses on three different points of quality — the meat, sauce and process of preparation — when it comes to this chicken dish, as well as all the other dishes the eatery serves.

DON’T WAIT TO DIG RIGHT IN

Bite into Asian Mix’s Honey Roasted Barbecue Pork ($12 per pound), a savory entree that can be served as an appetizer or a main dish.

This delectable item features pork collarbone, which is marinated for a day and roasted for an hour, before being lathered with a coat of sauce to bring out the rich, delicious flavors.

Make sure to get your fill, as the demand for this dish is high and it often sells out fast. The eatery’s general manager, Daniel Leung, recommends that guests call ahead to see if Honey Roasted Barbecue Pork is still available, or to reserve some for later pickup that day.
