LET’S TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: California Primavera Pasta ($16.29) with Grilled Shrimp (additional $5), Endless Garden Bar Salad ($6.99 with any meal, $14.78 a la carte) and Mai Tai ($7)

When you think, of “American casual dining,” a few places instantly come to mind. Sure to make that list is Ruby Tuesday — and for good reason, too.

With locations on Oahu and Maui, the restaurant has expanded its franchise after making its first appearance on the Islands 13 years ago. During that time, Ruby Tuesday has left a lasting and tasty impression on locals, thanks to its affordable, quality fare and top-notch service.

On Oahu, the Moanalua Shopping Center location operates as the best-performing locale in the state, according to owner Rick Nakashima, who co-owns the Hawaii franchises with his business partner, Ted Davenport.

Stop into this bustling Ruby Tuesday location, which offers inside and lanai seating, and feast on good ol’ classics, choosing from a list of juicy burgers, steak plates and pastas. You’ll also love Ruby Tuesday’s unlimited Garden Bar, which offers always-fresh greens and salad toppings.

Don’t forget to take advantage of Ruby Tuesday’s specials. On Mondays, keiki eat for free, while the first Tuesday of every month is reserved for an all-youcan-eat ribs special, which features the eatery’s fall-off-the-bone slabs and your choice of sauce/seasoning, including Classic Barbecue, Texas Dusted or Mango Kiawe (exclusive to Hawaii).

Lastly, be sure to check out the restaurant’s new menu items, such as California Primavera Pasta, Italian Five-cheese Skillet, Cajun Ribeye, Colossal Burger and Crispy Chicken Mac and Cheese.
