Dining Out recently stopped into International House of Pancakes’ (IHOP) flagship restaurant located at Ohana Waikiki Malia by Outrigger hotel for a classic American breakfast — which comes with a side of short-stack Original Buttermilk pancakes, in case you were wondering.

The Waikiki establishment has been flipping pancakes since 2006, as well as serving up other delicious breakfast offerings, such as decadent omelets (big enough for two), Belgian Waffles, French Toast, heartier breakfast combos and healthier fare. Some favorites include Big Steak Omelet, Strawberry & Banana French Toast, Red Velvet Pancakes and Country Fried Steak & Eggs.

This IHOP location only (there are two others on Oahu and one in both Hilo and Kona on the Big Island) is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but all locales offer breakfast, lunch and dinner all day long. The Hawaii franchises also have a special, discounted seniors’ menu for diners 55 and older, a kids’ menu and even a lunch and dinner menu featuring local dishes — think Loco Moco and a side order of Spam.
