A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: Heirloom Tomato Flatbread Pizza ($16, $8 during happy hour)

If customers first come to Bills Hawaii for its beautiful and cozy interior, they surely will stay for its un-forgettable cuisine from Down Under.

Australian chef Bill Granger founded the first Bills Sydney restaurant in Sydney, Australia, before opening up a few more around the country, then in Japan, Korea and London (Granger & Co.), and eventually in Hawaii in 2014.

While tailored to classics from its Aussie menu, part of the menu at each restaurant includes locally inspired food. At the Waikiki eatery, that translates to items such as special poke dishes.

Director of operations Eki Locke says Bills Hawaii is the go-to location when you have an appetite that needs satisfying. “(Customers) can expect really great, fresh farm-to-table food. The atmosphere is really inviting and comfortable, and they’ll also find food they can eat every day, so it’s a very good mix,” says Locke.

Bills Hawaii just introduced a new happy hour, and one savory bite patrons won’t want to miss is Heirloom Tomato Flatbread Pizza. The bright and flavorful selection is sure to be a palate pleaser.
