In Korean, daebak translates as “big win” or “huge success.” It also can be used to describe something inexplicably amazing. At 808 Yong’s BBQ, daebak can be applied to its entire menu.

Open since 2011, the eatery offers a broad range of dishes featuring authentic Korean food with a local flair.

Lovers of kalbi rejoice. For a very affordable price ($9.95), you not only get a generous portion of the restaurant’s Boneless Kalbi, you also get rice and four banchan (side
dish) choices. Marinated for one to two days in a secret sauce (owner and chef Yong Tom won’t divulge the details), every tender bite leaves you wanting more.

The most memorable dining experiences include friends and family. 808 Yong’s BBQ offers a Regular Family Pack ($45.99), which feeds four to six people. Included are 10 scoops of rice, four banchan choices, six pieces of kalbi, six pieces of barbecue chicken, six pieces of barbecue beef, eight pieces of meat jun and 10 pieces of mandu. A mini version of this also is available ($22.99) and feeds two to three people.

Another treat is in store for you: The restaurant serves breakfast all day, which is especially lucky for those who enjoy breakfast at all hours. An insider tip: With any
breakfast order, you can request to substitute regular rice with kim chee fried rice at no charge.

Regardless of the time you stop in, the food will have you screaming “daebak” with every bite.
