Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant, located at Ala Moana Center’s Hookipa Terrace, has got the magic touch when it comes to serving up a lavish spread of Chinese cuisine. As the premier restaurant to open in the U.S. in conjunction with Paramount Banquet Halls (which currently operates 22 locations throughout Hong Kong), Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is your best bet if you’re in the mood for dim sum and other decadent options.
Known for its 70 different variations of Hong Kong-style dim sum, top picks among repeat customers include the famous Taro Puff ($2.95), Crystal Taro Buns ($3.50) and Fresh Shrimp Spinach Dumplings ($3.50) The Taro Puff proves to be a hit time and time again among patrons, featuring fried taro with shrimp and minced pork. And when it comes to the Crystal Taro Buns, this small dessert filled with cooked taro in a wheat flour wrap is definitely one worth trying, no matter how stuffed you are. Jade Dynasty’s Fresh Shrimp Spinach Dumplings are the most requested of the bunch and consists of nothing less than the freshest of ingredients.
A newer item on the menu is the Dynasty Style Chicken ($19.95). This savory chicken is steamed and marinated overnight in a special sauce and then sprinkled with dry scallops. Customers also may dip pieces of chicken into a ginger sauce, if they prefer.
