With more than 250 items on the menu, along with selections dedicated especially to vegetarians, Mini Garden caters to everyone.

“We offer a mixture of Chinese foods, we have a lot of local favorites as well as Hong Kong-style favorites,” Chiu says. “We have a lot of repeat customers who are very loyal to us, and people can even request no MSG.”

Mini Garden also is promoting a special deal where patrons receive 20 percent off all take-out orders (excluding the vegetarian menu) and 10 percent off all dine-in orders (excluding party menus and shabu shabu).

Dishes that’ll delight…

Head chef De Hui Liang works hard to create new dishes on a regular basis, most recently having showcased a delicious entree of Eggplant and Shrimp, along with Sweet Chili Vegetarian Chicken. A customer favorite such as the Salt and Pepper Pork Chop dish continues to be a staple on the menu.

Eggplant and Shrimp ($12.95)

A special creation by head chef De Hui Liang, this dish features a Szechuan eggplant with tasty morsels of shrimp sauteed to perfection in a sweet and sour garlic sauce.

Salt and Pepper Pork Chop ($10.95)

Fried pork chops seasoned with salt and pepper, and garnished with dices of garlic, green onion and a dash of chili pepper. “Our Salt and Pepper Pork Chop stands outbecause our chef uses a special recipe, resulting in the most tender of pork chops,” says owner Yinnee Chiu.

Sweet Chili Vegetarian Chicken ($10.95)

A vegetarian chicken dish stir-fried with onions and zucchini, and covered in a sweet chili sauce. “Most people will be surprised with our vegetarian chicken because the texture and taste is similar to chicken, Chiu says. “But we actually use ‘monk chicken’ made from wheat gluten. Vegetarians love it.”
