Digest On the Menu

Story By: Dining Out Team |

If you need any evidence of the popularity of Kozo Sushi, stop by one of the five Oahu locations any day at lunchtime and you’ll quickly become part of the crowd. Inexpensive pricing, a wide variety of sushi and fast, friendly service make Kozo hard to beat when you’re craving sushi but don’t have a huge budget — or lots of time.

  • Kozo Sushi lunch boxes include Philly Maki (eight pieces for $4.99), Spicy Ahi Maki ($5.99) and Spicy Crunchy Maki ($6.25).
  • On the menu at Kozo Sushi are party platters starting at just $18.50.

On the menu, you’ll find a selection that offers everything from Hosomaki (six pieces from $1.25) to eight-piece lunch boxes (from $5.59) and specials that include Spicy Ahi Don ($6.15), Salmon Ikura Don ($6.99) and Ebi Tempura Soba with hot or cold noodles ($5.50). A humble Spam Sushi costs just $1.98, and a popular kid’s pack that includes futomaki and nigiri is just $3.50.

For those celebrating the end of the holidays with family and friends today, party platters are a huge hit. A 36-piece Sukeroku Plate with 12 pieces of inari sushi and 24 pieces of futomaki is just $18.50, and the gigantic 98-piece Kamaaina platter, complete with inari, maki and hosomaki sushi, is $42. Most platters are available immediately — for larger platters such as the Kamaaina Plate, order two hours in advance.
