It’s hard to imagine restaurant-quality food that exhibits an equilibrium between rapidity, deliciousness and affordability, but Asian Mix at the corner of Beretania and Piikoi has kept up this perfect balance by investing in high quality ingredients, utilizing an incredibly efficient prepping process and employing skilled chefs.

Established in 2012, the sought-after eatery specializes in Chinese, Japanese and local flavors. Through a wide array of plates featuring rice, noodles, pork, lamb, beef, chicken, shrimp and fish, as well as various appetizers and soups, Asian Mix juggles numerous cooking styles and techniques while also keeping wait time down to a minimum — most dishes are ready within five to 10 minutes.

“People don’t have time to wait during their lunch hour, so we need to make sure we can get the food out in minutes,” says owner Daniel Leung.

The quality of food also clearly speaks for itself, as the restaurant’s tasty dishes often sell out.
