There are plenty of reasons to celebrate at Chef Chai this holiday season.
For starters, the restaurant will host a duo of Christmas Concerts Dec. 9-10 with special holiday-inspired performances by Robert Cazimero and Halau Na Kamalei. Similar to Chef Chai’s monthly Full Moon Concerts, these events will mix the restaurant’s upscale Asian fusion cuisine with the best in island entertainment — and some Christmas cheer to boot.
The Christmas Concerts are priced at $79 per person, with dinner starting at 6 p.m. and the show to follow at 7:15. (See sidebar for more on the mouthwatering four-course menu.)
Another reason to spend the holidays at Chef Chai: The private room — which is both intimate and gorgeously chic — seats up to 26 and is ideal for company parties and family get-togethers alike.
A FESTIVE, FULL MEAL
During Chef Chai’s Christmas Concerts Dec. 9-10, guests will enjoy a fine four-course menu. It all starts with Chicken Tenderloin Sate with Thai peanut sauce, Asian flat bread and cucumber salad. Then, appetizers follow, including Fresh Ahi Tartar with avocado mousse in a miniature waffle cone. Guests may choose their entrée and dessert to finish.
When it comes to entrees, don’t hesitate to try Grilled Beef Tenderloin served in a mushroom foie gras puff — it’s Chef Chai’s famous version of the classic, beef Wellington.
