The signs of graduation season are here in Hawaii: Aunty called to ask if she can pick plumeria and ti leaf from your yard to make leis; keiki in the car cheer as they pass the Aloha Stadium and see the rides going up for the 50th State Fair; and establishments across the island display “Congratulations Class of 2017” on their front windows.
These local indicators all lead up to everyone’s favorite part of the season: the graduation luau, party and potluck.
Fuel everyone’s appetite with food from a local eatery that cooks things up for every occasion and has been doing so for generations.
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue has served Hawaii residents and visitors local delights for 41 years now, and the business understands the importance of catering to locals’ needs.
Brandon Dela Cruz, marketing director of L&L, says the restaurant chain makes it easy for customers, whether they’re looking to cater or searching for a quick bite to eat.
“We try to be close by and convenient for people to go to — that’s what we aim for the most,” he says.
Turn your best-loved plate lunch into a catering platter to share with everyone at your next party.
“Pretty much everything that is on the menu can be catered,” adds Dela Cruz. “The favorites are the chicken katsu, any of the barbecue meat and the kalua pork also is popular.”
L&L’s catering menu includes starches as well, such as chow mein, rice and mac salad.
Dela Cruz recommends placing large orders one to two weeks in advance. “Just call in your order and pick up from the location you ordered from,” he explains.
With several L&L locations across the Islands, tummies have an ample selection to choose from for upcoming summer parties!
