With the Year of the Tiger ap- proaching on the Chinese lunar calendar, Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant has created an extensive Chi- nese NewYear set menu that local diners can gather around the table for when welcoming the new year.
Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant contin- ues to impress its loyal customers by add- ing new menu items, many of which are in- fluenced by the cuisine in both China and Hong Kong. The evolving menu keeps guests coming back to see what is in store as the heart-of-the-house creativity and stellar cus- tomer service “wows” diners with each visit.
Conveniently located within the Hookipa
Terrace on Ala Moana Center’s top level, Jade Dynasty serves up an award-winning dining experience in an inviting atmosphere featuring dark wood accents and intricate- ly crafted chandeliers. The family-friendly restaurant hosts up to 300 people, and din- ers are encouraged to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and special events in either the main dining room or one of the seven private dining areas.
Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant manag- ing partner Ave Kwok explains that, for the special Chinese NewYear menu ($498 for a table of 10, exclusive of tax and gratuity), “We chose these dishes because they bring our guests good luck for the Year of the Tiger!”
The celebratory menu is available now through Feb. 16, and the Jade Dynasty team asks for notice at least two days in advance to prepare the feast. The menu starts off with Deep-fried Shrimp Balls “representing pros- perity as ancient Chinese gold and silver money” as well as Imitation Shark’s Fin Soup with Seafood & Bamboo Fungus to represent “harmony the whole year round.”
Diners are then treated to Golden Chicken with Roasted Garlic symbolizing the “Phoe- nixbringingyougoodnews,”aswellasFried Fish with Sweet & Sour Sauce in addition to Lobster with Ginger & Onions on a bed of noodles that signify “prosperity year after year and good health and spirit.”
