For future date night ideas, look to Hy’s Steak House. Guests can now enjoy the restaurant’s signa- ture steaks, all in the comfort of their home, thanks to a stellar takeout menu.
Like many other restaurants, Hy’s had to make changes during the pandemic. “As an establishment that never did takeout pre-COVID, adapting to the new norm was definitely a challenge,” says Taro Kurobe, assistant general manager and wine director. “Through trial and error, we were able to create a pro- gram where our guests can enjoy our
signature steaks at home.”
One of the biggest challenges was
figuring out the best way to reheat meals. “We created step-by-step heating
instructions for our dinner sets using conventional ovens and/or stove top pans. The instructions will guide you to your desired steak temperature,” says Kurobe. (Note: Don’t use microwaves!
It can overcook steaks.)
