       Photos by ANTHONY CONSILLIO
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and those wishing to celebrate the Irish holiday needn’t look any further.
Murphy’s Bar & Grill will be offering a very special menu that perfectly pays homage to The Emerald Isle and its flavorsome food.
Guests can expect classics like corned beef and cabbage ($20), lamb shank ($23), Gael- ic steak ($26) and a Caesar salad with sweet chili salmon ($24). Also, we’d be remiss not to mention the dessert menu, which boasts sweet treats like Irish whiskey cake, Bailey’s cheese- cake and bread pudding — all for $9 a slice.
To keep everyone safe, reservations are re- quired, and organizers suggest saving your seats as soon as possible. Time slots begin at 11 a.m., and then repeat every two hours until 7. In between diners, Murphy’s staffers will sanitize and reset the area.
Those who want to celebrate at home, mean- while, have the option to order takeout. From 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., customers can swing by the Merchant Street eatery, where “bar hops” will be on hand to provide curbside pickup. Orders must be placed by March 12 and can be made online or by calling 531-0422. Owner Don Murphy teases that Irish “flu shots,” Guin- ness cans and do-it-yourself coffees will be on the takeout menu as well. And, don’t forget to wear green!
CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE
($20)
You can’t go wrong with this savory Irish classic that also includes potatoes and green beans.
           DO-IT-YOURSELF IRISH COFFEE ($4)
To get the party started, try a do-it-yourself Irish coffee, which encompasses a mini bottle of Jameson, whipped cream and brown sugar.
GAELIC STEAK ($26)
Popular throughout many European regions, this meal is made up of a juicy New York steak in a green peppercorn sauce. It’s served with green beans and a nice helping of mashed potatoes. Fun fact: the owners got the recipe from a chef in Ashford Castle, Ireland.
