When it comes to the local food that island residents know and love, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue never misses the mark. With 66 locations found across the state, the eatery, which was established in 1952, has made it easier than ever to order one of its famed plate lunches since launching an app.

“We are rolling out with our online app, where app ordering is available at select L&L locations around the island with more coming online in the coming weeks,” shares director of marketing Brandon Dela Cruz, who notes that his favorite menu item is garlic ahi with all rice.

“L&L is the trusted name for Hawaii’s quintessential plate lunch,” he adds. “You’re within a 30-minute (or less) driving distance from an L&L anywhere on the island.”

One such example of a fan favorite is the BBQ Mix ($13.95). As the restaurant chain’s signature dish, the plate comes with a variety of meats, including beef, chicken and short ribs. It’s all marinated in a special sauce and grilled fresh upon ordering.

If you’re in the mood for seafood, try the Lighter Garlic Shrimp ($11.25), which offers tender pieces of shell-on shrimp fried in garlic and butter, and served with brown rice and a tossed green salad.

“We enjoy providing good food, prepared fresh, served in large portions at great prices,” says Dela Cruz. “Customers have come to know that if you want a good meal, they can easily get one at L&L.”
