Everyone is saying it: “I can’t believe it’s already spring!” Soon enough, you’ll be hearing the same thing about summer since it’s just two months away. And with summertime, we all know that brings graduation season with it.
The Mandalay in Downtown Honolulu is ready for the upcoming season with new lunch and dinner party menus that are sure to please everyone from the graduate to the family and friends who join in on the celebration. Both extensive and delicious menus are jam packed with different flavors ready to serve tables of 10.
The Lunch Specials menu comes in three sets: Menu A ($238), Menu B ($228) and Menu C ($208).
All three sets include Shrimp Dumpling and Pork Hash, and the rest of each menu ranges in mouthwatering dishes comprised of buns, like Steamed Char Siu Buns (Menu A and B); shrimp dishes, like Deep Fried Dried Shrimp Puff (Menu C); chicken dishes, like House Special Crispy Chicken (Menu B); and so much more.
The Dinner Specials feature four menus: Menu A ($285), Menu B ($325), Menu C ($415) and Menu D ($595).
These setups come with varieties found on the lunch menu, but up the ante with specialty dishes such as Sauteed Lobsters with Ginger Scallion found on Menu C; and Dungeness Crab with Ginger Scallion found on Menu D; plus a dessert for a sweet ending.
Both menus can be found on the restaurant’s website. Wilfred Leung, the assistant to the general manager at The Mandalay, says the establishment also has two floors available for reservation that accommodate more than 300 people, plus sound systems and even a karaoke system for rent. The bottom floor further has interlocking doors in between spaces for smaller gatherings.
